When performing treatment for teeth grinding, the large chewing muscles called masseters are injected with muscle relaxant. Although the muscle is not fully paralysed by the injections, it is relaxed enough to reduce the grinding action.

Results typically last for approximately 6 months.
Is there any downtime?
There is no downtime involved with this treatment but you will be advised to not perform strenuous exercise for 24 hours and to be gentle with the area injected. You may experience mild redness, swelling or bruising at the injection sites.
