Laser Capillary Treatment

Laser Capillary Treatment 30mins $150
The Cutera system utilises a non-invasive, long-pulsed Nd: YAG laser to effectively treat superficial and deep vascular lesions on the face and body. By delivering pulses of light energy to the affected areas, the blood within the veins coagulates, eventually destroying the vessels which are later reabsorbed by the body. Blood flow will then be redirected to veins deeper below the skin’s surface where it should be, leaving you with an instantly refined and recharged complexion.

Capillaries or spider veins are caused by the dilation of blood vessels as a result of a multitude of factors such as sun damage, trauma to the skin, hot showers, cold air or alcohol. The Cutera Excel V+ Laser delivers safe, quick and effective treatment results for the reduction of unwanted capillaries, anywhere on the body.

Laser Capillary Treatment FAQs

Will I need more than 1 treatment?

For best results, more than one treatment is usually required. The number of treatments required will depend on the size and thickness of the vessels being treated.

Will they come back once treated?

Unfortunately, there is the possibility that the vessels will return with time after treatment. Following the correct homecare advice (using correct skincare products & changing lifestyle factors) can assist with prolonging your results.

How does the treatment work?

Our Cutera Excel V+ Laser has two different wavelengths (1064nm & 532nm) used to target various depths within the skin. The 1064nm wavelength is used to treat larger, deeper vessels by coagulating the blood flow to then shrink the vessel and reduce its appearance. The 532nm wavelength is more superficial, which is perfect for targeting those finer vessels by completely shutting them down.

Is there any pre-treatment care involved in a Laser Capillary Treatment?

Before your laser capillary treatment, it is important that you avoid using fake tan, Vitamin A (retinoids) and photosensitising medications prior to your appointment as these can make your skin more susceptible to developing a burn.

What can I expect post treatment?

Most vessels will disappear instantly, however, deeper vessels will darken and then lighten/fade in appearance within 2-4 weeks post treatment. Clients will often experience a ‘bug bite’ type welt in the treated area which will settle within a few hours post treatment.

How much does a treatment cost?

A 15-minute session is $130, which will include as many vessels as your Skin Therapist can treat within that time frame.
