Rosacea Laser Facial FAQs
How does the treatment work?
The Rosacea Laser Facial incorporates both the CoolView & Laser Genesis handpieces on the Cutera Excel V+ Laser device, designed to target both the visible vessels on the face, as well as any underlying redness within the skin.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments required varies from person to person, however, as a guide, we normally recommend a minimum of 4 treatments at 2-4 week intervals. Some clients may require up to 10 treatments to achieve optimal results.
Is there any downtime?
Downtime will vary from person to person, depending on the severity of the redness and vessels. Some patients may experience swelling around the eyes post treatment, but this will usually resolve within a few hours. Post treatment, it is advised that excessive hat is avoided for 1-2 days e.g. hot tubs, saunas, etc. You will also need to avoid sun exposure, and use a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen daily to prevent further damage.
What does the treatment feel like?
The treatment itself can be divided up into two sections. The CoolView hand piece feels like a warm rubber band flicking the skin, which can cause some mild discomfort. However, as the handpiece is quite large and is ale to treat a larger surface area, it is usually tolerated quite well as it is only a quick treatment. The Laser Genesis handpiece is very relaxing, often referred to as the sensation of warm rain drops on the skin.
What areas can be treated?
Rosacea commonly presents on the face around the cheeks and chin; however, some patients experience it all over the face. The Rosacea Laser Facial treats the entire face during each treatment session for optimal results.
