How does Dermapen work?
Using multiple needles to vertically penetrate the surface layers of the skin, treatment with Dermapen allows the body to begin the wound healing process which breaks up older collagen chains to stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin within the skin.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments required to reach your skin goals will depend on your individual skin type and concerns. Your Skin Therapist will be able to provide an indication on the number of treatments required during your consultation.
How long will it take before I see results?
Results are usually visible after just one treatment; however, lasting and more significant results will become visible after a series of treatments. The condition of the skin will continue to improve for up to 6-12 months post treatment.
Is there any downtime after treatments?
You may experience facial redness for 12-48 hours post treatment. It is also advised that you avoid the use of active skincare products for up to 5 days post treatment, and that you avoid intense exercise, sun exposure, spray/self-tanning and excessively hot showers for up to 2 days post treatment.
